About me,
Welcome. I’m Leslie Parker — an artist, an architect and an observer of nature.
Rooted in Connection
I believe art has the power to inspire and transcend. Through paint, I aim to capture fleeting, everyday moments that renew our sense of wonder - so we can surround ourselves with those moments in the places we live.
beginnings
I grew up in New Brunswick, on the east coast of Canada, and I’ve been drawing and painting for as long as I can remember. Drawn to creative work, I studied literature and then architecture at university, eventually becoming a licensed architect. I’ve worked as an architect for over two decades, fascinated with story, place and the structure of the built environment.
back to painting
After moving to Toronto, I gained access to world-class art shows at the Art Gallery of Ontario and through international travel. I was immediately drawn to the post-impressionist, cubist and fauvist artists - their bold use of colour and form was deeply inspiring to me. I began painting again, and their influence remains central to my practice today.
milestones
During the COVID pandemic, I returned to painting seriously and created my first cohesive body of work. I began exhibiting professionally, starting with small group shows and later juried art fairs, including the Riverdale ArtWalk and Toronto Outdoor Art Fair. In 2024, I joined the roster at Jackalope Gallery on Queen Street East in Toronto, where my work is now regularly shown.
present
The next chapter begins now. In 2025, I’ll transition into working as a full-time / part-time artist, focusing on growing my art practice. I’m deeply immersed in learning—both creatively and entrepreneurially—and couldn’t be more thrilled to move forward with intention and joy.

I’m happy to now be offering shipping to United States, United Kingdom, Europe, Australia, Japan and Singapore.
I offer free shipping on all prints.
Smaller original pieces (under 300 square inches) are easily shipped via Canada Post—tracked, well-packaged, and reliable. The shipping price will be calculated at check-out.
Larger works need a custom courier quote, so at checkout you can select “Contact me for a shipping quote” and I will send you a separate invoice for the shipping price. Alternatively, you can send me an email prior to purchase, and I’ll get you a quote.

Commissions can be a bit tricky. My work is rooted in inspiration—something I see, feel, or experience—so I don’t always feel confident I can create something joyful or authentic when working strictly from someone else’s photo.
That said, if you have an idea or image in mind, feel free to send it my way. I’m happy to take a look and let you know if I feel it’s something I can work with in a way that stays true to my creative process. If it feels like a good fit, we can absolutely discuss what’s possible.

If you're in Toronto, we may be able to arrange an in-person trial with a refundable deposit—just get in touch and we can chat about the details.
I also offer digital mock-ups to help you visualize the artwork in your space. Here’s how:
Use painter’s tape to mark a 1-meter wide rectangle on your wall (measure from inside edge to inside edge).
Take a photo of the wall straight on, with good lighting.
Send it my way, and I’ll scale the image and drop in the painting so you can see how it could look in your home.
